Parker Named an OCAA Star of the Week

TORONTO - The following student-athletes have been recognized by the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) for their accomplishments during the seven-day period ending Sunday, Dec. 3:

Program: Child and Youth Care
Year of Eligibility: 5
Sport: Men's Basketball
Hometown: Toledo, Ohio

Parker scored an exciting three-point buzzer beater to give Fanshawe a thrilling 89-88 road win over Niagara last Friday. The fifth-year shooting guard scored a game-high 27 points, shooting 7-of-13 (54 percent) from beyond the three-point arc. He added seven rebounds, two assists and two steals. Parker is among the OCAA league leaders averaging 25.3 points per game and a 41.6 three-point shooting percentage. Fanshawe (6-3) is in the thick of a competitive race in the West Division, and will close out the first half of its season on Dec. 5 at home against Conestoga (0-9).
