Men’s Indoor Soccer Team OCAA Championship Bound
(London, Ontario) – On Monday at the Ontario Soccer Centre in Vaughan, the Fanshawe Men's Indoor Soccer team clinched a spot in the OCAA Championship.
The Fanshawe Men's Indoor Soccer squad went 2-1-1 on the day, good for second place at their OCAA Regional. The Falcons started off strong with a victory over the host Seneca Sting 1-0 before tying Redeemer 4-4. Fanshawe then picked up a win over the Lambton Lions 4-0 to secure their advancement. The Falcons dropped their final game of the day by a score of 2-0 to the Conestoga Condors.
Fanshawe will now advance to the OCAA Provincial Championship, which take place at the Ontario Soccer Centre in Vaughan from March 6-7. The tournament will feature the top eight teams in the province, with teams advancing from two other OCAA Regionals to be played on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The Falcons Women's team unfortunately did not advance from their regional tournament, finishing fourth with a record of 1-3.
