Cotton Named OCAA Women’s Basketball First Team All-Star

(London, Ontario) – On Thursday evening at the OCAA Women's Basketball Championship banquet in Welland, Alison Cotton (London, ON) was named a 2022-23 West Division First Team League All-Star.

The fourth-year guard/forward led the Falcons to a third place finish in a competitive OCAA West Division. Cotton averaged 13.9 points per game and 7.5 rebounds per game. She also added 2.4 steals and 1.8 assists per game. "What makes Alison so valuable to our team is that on both ends of the floor, she has an incredible work ethic, a level of compete and a motor that never stops", commented Head Coach Bill Carriere, "Alison is more than deserving of an OCAA First Team honour".

The Fanshawe Falcons Women's Basketball squad will play in an OCAA quarterfinal game at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 3 against Redeemer. The Championship is being hosted by Niagara College in Welland, ON.
