Sloan Named to OCAA West Division All-Rookie Team

(London, Ontario) – The Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) announced the 2024-25 Women's Volleyball league awards today.

Fanshawe first year outside hitter Dana Sloan (London, ON) was named to the OCAA West Division All-Rookie Team. Sloan made an instant impact as a rookie for the Falcons, suiting up in 17 matches and finishing third on the team in kills with 94 and second in digs with 134. Sloan's versatility and consistency on the court was a key factor to Fanshawe's success this season.

After securing a 3-0 victory over the OCAA East Division's fifth seed, Centennial (11-7), in their playoff crossover match, Sloan and the Falcons (9-9) now set their sights on the quarterfinal. Fanshawe will face the OCAA West Division's eighth seed, Conestoga Condors (7-11), on Saturday, February 15th, at 1:00 p.m. at the Glenn Johnston Athletic Centre.
